Join the Pancreatic Cancer Support Association on an exclusive Matakana Garden Tour.
Held on World Pancreatic Cancer Day, Thursday 21st November. Get the chance to explore a stunning array of vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and serene landscapes.
What to expect
Beginning at 9.45am, you will be collected from Matakana School and be transported around each garden, enjoy a light lunch, end-of-day wine and refreshments at the Sculptureum and leave with a goody bag before returning to Matakana School at approximately 6pm.
With plenty of chances for photography, sneak peaks inside the homes, talks with the gardeners and a Q&A, this is a day not to be missed for garden lovers.
Tickets are $300 from 1 October.
Proceeds go to the Gut Cancer Foundation to fund pancreatic cancer research, help support patients with pancreatic cancer and raise awareness of pancreatic cancer.
About the gardens
Bailey-Mills Garden: 2022 Regional Garden of the Year, spread over 9 hectares with a series of different spaces each with its own unique story and inspiration including a spectacular rose garden in memory of Elaine Lunken who passed away from pancreatic cancer.
Barclay Gardens: vibrant displays of colour and fragrance and an abundance of native plantings which attract local birdlife.
Omaio Gardens: a six-star garden of international significance, with 1400 year old puriri trees, expansive native and exotic bush designed in curving flowing shapes to mirror the coastal landscape.
