Join us and our guest speakers, Dr Amanda Landers and Helen Brown, for this free online webinar where we will discuss diet and nutrition in relation to pancreatic cancer. We will explore how a pancreatic cancer diagnosis impacts on diet and nutrition, discuss what to consider during treatment and following surgery, the importance of Pancreatic Enzyme Replacement Therapy (PERT) and the role of diet and nutrition support during palliative care.
Dr Amanda Landers is currently a senior clinical lecturer with the Otago Medical School in Christchurch. She loves to teach others about palliative care and is currently leading an Australasian research team (ASPERT) looking at enzyme replacement in pancreatic cancer.
Helen Brown currently works as a community dietitian at the Nurse Maude Hospice Palliative Care Service, Christchurch. Prior to this Helen was a dietitian working in mental Health at Hillmorton Hospital and in the community. Helen has a particular interest in the care of patients with pancreatic cancer and is involved in research in this area. She has presented on pancreatic cancer at conferences nationally and internationally.
